HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I can't believe it's New Years Eve already. The past nine months have flown by. Starting tomorrow, when a stranger asks "When are you due?", I can actually say "end of the month". Although, Sean is convinced that Sam won't decide to be born until Super Bowl Sunday.

Sean has been busy putting things together in the nursery. Below is a picture of Wally modeling the "bundle me", snuzzler, and infant carrier.


We still have lots to get accomplished.
-finish short term disability forms
-get cradle put together
-finish packing hospital bags
-figure out how to be a Mommy and a Daddy (any advice on this one?)

They got me again!

On December 11th, it seemed like just another ordinary day. Got up, showered, woke up Sean, packed lunch for Sean and I , ate breakfast, dropped Sean off at work, and went to work myself. Little did I know my bringing lunch this day was unnecessary. A couple people asked me during the morning what I had brought for lunch. At 11:44, Barbara asked me why I hadn't gone to lunch yet and that I should go (my lunch starts at 11:45). I did think it was a liittle odd that Kris had already vacated her cubicle for lunch. As I was walking towards the kitchen, Joanne grabbed my arm, said she had to ask me a question, and pulled me into the conference room, where a baby shower was waiting for me. As you can see, there was lots of food, fun and presents. We got a lot of things that we still needed ( extra car base, monitors, diaper bags) and some fun presents also (time capsule, clothes and bibs).

Thank you to everyone involved. You guys know how to throw a fun party and make a girl feel pretty darn special!

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

They got me good. Sharon, my Mom, Jen and Joanne devised a scheme to throw me off the scent as to when my baby shower was. I was convinced my shower was going to be at the Church on Sunday December 9th. I told Sean I had figured it all out, and we decided I'd play along and act surprised on the 9th. Little did I know he was in on it, as was Stephanie.

So anyway, On Sunday the 2nd we headed over to Sharon's and Bob's house for a family birthday party for one of Sean's aunts. When we got there, I was surprised to find it was actually my Baby Shower! It was a great day. It was great to see everybody and I was overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. The food was delicious and bountiful!

I can't believe Sam is due to arrive in under two months. Man we've got a lot left to do and get in order!

Nursery almost done

All I have left to do is painting the closet and the doors. Then some decorating (Laura will handle most of those duties). Here's what it looks like this morning.....
